About Us
Dedicated to nurturing children in mind, body and spirit
Chesterfield Academy opened its doors in November 2008 with the goal of providing high-quality, flexible and affordable early childhood education. Since then, we have touched hundreds of children and families in the community. As we continue to grow, we promise every family that we will live up to their expectations by creating a higher standard of care, education and learning for the mind, body and spirit of children and parents who come through our doors.
Our Mission
We adhere to the ministry of faith-based ethics and values by providing high quality education and care for the mind, body and spirit. Our commitment to a faith-based education calls us to structure our programs through these ideals:
To achieve this mission, we pledge to be creative, visionary leaders committed to educating young children in our community.
-
Create caring and compassionate environments
-
Respect the dignity of every child and person
-
Care for the resources entrusted to us as responsible stewards
-
Collaborate with others to improve the education of our communities
-
Attend especially to the needs of those who are poor and disadvantaged
-
Act with integrity in all endeavors
Nurturing environment and quality child care
We are a State-Licensed, 501C3 “Not for Profit” teaching facility for children ages 6 weeks – 10 years old. Each age group has its own separate classroom and each classroom has curriculum in place, which is carried out through weekly lesson plans. As a theme-based school, we have a different theme each week for classroom curriculum and activities to revolve around.
Family Involvement
We believe that parent involvement is a huge part of a child’s preschool success, so Chesterfield Academy provides parents several opportunities to be a part of our school-wide activities and events. Just a handful of our school-wide activities and events include:
-
Classroom parties
-
Grandparents Day
-
Mother’s and Father’s Days Teas
-
"We Believe" Christmas Program
-
Literacy Night
-
“Messy Play” Night
-
Pre-Kindergarten Graduation
Committed to
Communication
Our “Open-Door Policy” encourages parents to visit their child throughout the day and allow for ongoing communication through our Brightwheel app. Daily, real-time updates and photos keep you informed about your child’s day and their achievement of developmental milestones while here at Chesterfield Academy.
Our Team
About Our Teachers
The leadership team at Chesterfield Academy chooses our teachers very carefully. Not only do we look for dedicated teachers who have education and experience in the field of Early Childhood and Elementary Education, but we also understand that it’s more than just about having a degree. You will find that the teachers at Chesterfield Academy are passionate about what they do each and every day, and that they are very nurturing, loving and dedicated to the development of each child.
All Chesterfield Academy employees and teachers have met and exceeded thorough Missouri State Licensing requirements to provide excellent care for our families. Our employees have been screened and registered through the Family Care Safety Registry as child care workers, are registered with a national fingerprint database, are CPR and First Aid certified, and continue their growth with ongoing classes in the child care field.
